So, with Christmas, and New Years, and being ill (yep I caught the dreaded cold virus!), I haven’t been keeping up to date with these 5 Good Things posts. BUT, as this is the end of the first week of January, I suppose there’s no better time? I mean, let’s face it, nobody likes the end of the Christmas break, and that dreaded return to work after all the fun, food and festivities.
Having been ill for a good part of the break, and no better during the earlier part of this week, I had to take the first couple of days back to work off sick. Which means that 2018 got off to a bit of a bleary-eyed, snotty, bed-ridden start. By today however, I’m feeling much better, and ready to get this year off on a positive spin, and did so with some delicious baking (see below for some mega pizza envy!).
So with that in mind, here are 5 things that have been making me happy this week:
1. Seeing family for New Years Eve and New Years Day, exploring their new home and town, along with their lovely new business venture RebelBee7! It’s really nice to see other people finding something they love and making a business out of it. Plus, they have chickens, which I am super jealous of!
2. Finding a sink that will fit in our teeny tiny bathroom, after years of looking! Hopefully we’ll be able to purchase it in the next week or so, will post pics if we do!
4. Cracking out this gorgeous Christmas present – a Christmas Cookie scented Yankee Candle. It makes our living room smell like warm vanilla – perfect for a cold wintery evening.
5. These delicious homemade pizzas I made on Sunday. Thanks to Rosie for the recipe – I think making dough might be the most satisfying thing ever – do you agree?
